Biography
Patty is a passionate Health & Physical Education educator whose work is grounded in a lifelong love of sport, movement, and learning in the outdoors. With experience spanning PE, Outdoor Education, leadership, and curriculum design, he is committed to creating high-quality learning experiences that challenge students to think, reflect, and grow—not just participate.
Currently a Learning Specialist and Head of Curriculum, Patty leads whole-school pedagogical improvement while continuing to champion PE as a space for meaningful learning, skill development, and wellbeing. His practice blends evidence-based teaching with creativity, high energy, and a deep belief in the power of sport to build confidence, resilience, and connection.
Outside the classroom, he lives and breathes endurance sport—training and competing across running, triathlon —which fuels his interest in performance, coaching, and applied physiology. Patty brings this same drive into his professional work, supporting teachers to lift practice, embed formative assessment, and shape engaging, future-focused PE programs.
