Biography
Whitney is the Regional Development Coach (Head Coach) of the U18 Girls Bendigo
Pioneers and a member of the U18 Girls VIC Country Coaching Team. She is a Level 3
Accredited AFL Coach and an AFL Technical Coach in the Athlete Development
Program (ADP) delivered as part of the Bendigo Education Plan at Bendigo South
East College.
Holding a Bachelor of Education (Physical Education), Whitney brings a strong
foundation in both teaching and athlete development. She has over 11 years of
experience teaching Physical Education, Health, and Sport & Recreation at the
secondary level, and was responsible for leading significant change as part of her role
as Head of Department for Physical Education and Health at Swan Hill College.
Whitney’s work in education was formally recognised in 2019 when she received the
Excellence in Physical Education and Activity – Secondary Teacher award at the
Victorian Education Excellence Awards. She combines her educational expertise with
extensive experience in high-performance football programs, with a particular focus
on developing emerging female talent in Australian Rules Football.
