Dr Stuart Evans is a Lecturer in Teacher Education, Physical Education, Sport & Movement, Course Coordinator, Master of Education (MEd) at La Trobe University. Stuart is a multi-disciplinary researcher with an applied exercise and sport science, teaching, teacher education and HPE pedagogy background. He has collaborated with national and international experts in sport and exercise science, biomechanics and skill development in a HPE context. Stuart was awarded a scholarship as part of the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and has collaborated with state and territory sporting organisations in long-term athletic development needs for junior athletes. His recent research has focused on integrating TPSR in commonly used sport and PE pedagogical frameworks. Stuart is also the education director for STEMfit, an NGO that creates exciting and engaging, enquiry-based STEM educational experiences through the lens of physical activity and sport.
