Date & Time

Description

Looking for a fun, practical and reliable way to assess movement skills in your Year 3 to 6 PE lessons? This session will show you how to assess your students’ movement competence and use the results to plan lessons and support those needing extra help.

You’ll be introduced to the Canadian Agility and Movement Skill Assessment (CAMSA), a short, game-like obstacle course that evaluates how well students perform and combine fundamental movement skills such as running, jumping, throwing and catching. It’s an engaging, curriculum-aligned way to assess how students use their skills in a game-like context.

Even better, when used through the KIDDO website, CAMSA becomes even easier to manage. You can enter student scores online and instantly receive automated reports and class insights, giving you valuable feedback with no spreadsheets or extra admin.

This session will guide you through how to run CAMSA in your school setting, with practical tips on setup, scoring and using the data to inform your PE planning. You’ll also hear from Kelly Poynton, PE teacher at Lakes Entrance Primary School, who will share how she uses CAMSA effectively across her Year 3 to 6 classes.

In this session, you will:
• Understand what CAMSA is and how it works
• Learn how to set up and deliver the assessment with confidence
• Discover how to collect and use data via the KIDDO website
• Hear real-world advice from a teacher using CAMSA in practice
