Small Schools and Financial Hardship Scholarship Applications
Business Managers Victoria (BMV) is committed to supporting the professional development and networking opportunities of our members and are pleased to again offer our ‘Small Schools and Financial Hardship’ Annual Leadership Conference Scholarship program.
The Conference Scholarships have been made available through the generous support of two of our business partners – Camp Australia and BankFirst and are open to BMV members who work in smaller schools or schools who have experienced financial hardship due to a natural disaster event in 2025 - to support your attendance at the Annual Leadership Conference.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Must be a current BMV financial member.
- Only one scholarship is available per school location.
- Your principal must endorse your Expression of Interest supporting your attendance at the Conference.
- Applications must be received by close of business TBC
- Priority will be given to those who have not experienced the BMV Conference or accessed this opportunity previously.
- Successful applications must attend all elements of Conference as per option chosen.
- Exclusive for smaller schools or schools who have experienced financial hardship due to a natural disaster event in 2024
VMIA Professional Learning Award 2026
In partnership with VMIA, we are pleased to offer the VMIA Professional Learning Awards for 2026, recognising outstanding practice and innovative ideas that contribute to schools, networks, and the Business Manager profession.
This year’s awards have been refreshed to provide even greater opportunities for members, including:
• Network Awards – Up to $1,000 available per network (up to five awards)
• Individual Award – A $5,000 scholarship for a current financial BMV member to support their professional learning
Applications may focus on a range of areas, including:
• School or network-based innovation
• Business Manager best practice (e.g. budgeting, procurement, resource management)
• Initiatives supporting inclusion or disadvantaged students

Successful applicants will be announced at the BMV Annual Leadership Conference during the opening session on Thursday 23 July 2026.
