The Australian Secondary Principals' Association (ASPA) invites you to the 2027 National Summit, the premier event for public secondary school leaders, policymakers, and education stakeholders. Over two dynamic days, we will delve into the critical issues facing our schools, leveraging the latest research and the collective expertise of leaders from across the nation to shape the future of secondary education. Building on the significant momentum and impactful outcomes of our 2024, 2025 and 2026 Summits, this event continues the vital work of collaborative reform. It brings together a diverse and influential group of participants, including school leaders, senior policymakers, politicians, education researchers, system leaders, and student representatives, ensuring the voices of those at the heart of our schools are central to the conversation.

This summit is a unique opportunity to connect and engage with leading thinkers, and contribute directly to the national conversation on educational policy and practice.

The Australian Secondary Principals’ Association (ASPA) is the not-for-profit national peak body advocating for all
Australian public secondary principals and the school communities they lead. We work to give voice to our profession in the interest of informing and improving national education policy forall Australian children and young people.

We have an opportunity to influence positive change in Australia to help every learner progress and realise their potential in an education system that is under pressure. Our principals are the education experts who can provide effective, practical leadership on behalf of our community, and they need your support.

We are expecting 150-180 attendees at our summit in the Great Hall at Parliament House,  Canberra, comprising the leading secondary school principals from around Australia; leaders of all the principals' associations; senior education bureaucrats and academics, politicians, students, representatives of parent and community organisations and a range of key people in the industry
