The HPE Summit at AFL Max: Clarity, Culture and Connection in HPE
The HPE Summit is a one-day professional learning experience designed to challenge, energise and equip Health and Physical Education educators to lead active, inclusive and high-impact programs in their schools.
Hosted at AFL Max, the day is built around four interconnected pillars: Engagement and Game-Based Learning, Coaching, Leadership and Performance, Wellbeing and Inclusive Practice, and Curriculum, Assessment and Whole-School Impact. Together, these pillars reflect the evolving role of HPE in shaping not only movement competence, but also confidence, belonging and school culture. Participants will explore how purposeful game design can deepen engagement, how athlete-centred approaches can build ownership and leadership, how inclusive movement environments strengthen wellbeing, and how curriculum clarity and meaningful assessment can elevate the influence of HPE across the whole school.
Grounded in the Victorian Curriculum and shaped by real-world school contexts, the Summit balances inspiration with practical application. You will leave with renewed energy, sharper thinking and a clear vision for creating movement experiences that drive engagement, performance and lasting impact.
