Biography
Lauren Hanna is a physiotherapist, strength and conditioning coach and high-performance practitioner with 20 years' experience inside elite Australian sport across three football codes. She has worked with the Matildas (2008–2013, 2020–2024) through two World Cup campaigns and an Olympic cycle, with Melbourne Storm during the period the club recruited and developed the playing group that would go on to define its era, and with Geelong Cats across its 2022 and 2025 AFL premiership cycles, as well as Melbourne Victory and Essendon Football Club. Across two decades on the training paddock, in the physio room and on the sideline at Grand Finals and World Cups, Lauren has developed a deep understanding of what actually produces sustained elite performance — and how today's youth sport systems often work against it. She is the host of PAC Athlete (Play. Adventure. Curiosity.), a podcast dedicated to redefining youth development by blending elite sports science with the spirit of play, helping parents, coaches and practitioners build resilient bodies and curious minds in the next generation of athletes.
