From Bystander to Upstander: Empowering Students to Take Safe, Effective Action
Session Description
Empower students through understanding the Pyramid of Hate, identifying how stereotyping can lead to prejudice, discrimination and violence and the impact on individuals and society. By exploring the bystander effect and embracing the role of Upstanders, students can learn to challenge norms and alter the perpetrator-victim dynamic. Inspire your students and give them the tools to become an Upstander by disempowering the bully through safe, appropriate and effective strategies.
