James Tonna is an experienced Health and Physical Education leader with over a decade of teaching and curriculum leadership across both junior and senior school settings. He is currently Head of Health and Physical Education at Greenvale Secondary College, where he led the establishment of a comprehensive HPE curriculum during the foundation phase of a new school.
James has a strong track record in curriculum design, staff development, and building strategic programs that engage students and improve learning outcomes. His expertise includes backwards design, instructional coaching, and using evidence-informed approaches to enhance teaching and learning in HPE.
