Trudy Thompson is a Lecturer in Public Health and Health Promotion at Deakin College and a PhD Candidate at Deakin University. With over a decade of teaching experience in primary and secondary education, Trudy spent four years supporting pre-service teachers across the Primary and Secondary Teaching programs at Deakin University.

Now working within the Health Sciences, she helps students apply health promotion and wellbeing principles in real-world contexts. Her research focuses on embedding Respectful Relationships Education into whole school approaches using a strengths-based framework. Trudy has presented her work across both academic and practitioner networks and is passionate about bridging the gap between research and school-based practice.
