Jules Hay is an experienced educator, coach, and gender equity advocate with over 20 years working across the sport and education sectors. A qualified Physical Education teacher and former Director of Sport, Jules has led programs that empower students—particularly girls—to thrive in physical activity, leadership, and team environments.

Through her consulting business Coaching Jewlz, Jules delivers professional learning workshops, school-based programs, and coaching development sessions with a focus on creating inclusive, respectful and equitable sporting experiences. With a passion for breaking down gender stereotypes and promoting female participation in sport, Jules brings deep expertise in both the classroom and on the field.

She has coached in traditionally male-dominated spaces, including AFL, and champions respectful relationships, positive masculinity, and confidence-building for all students. Jules' lived experience, coupled with her academic and leadership background, gives her a unique ability to connect with educators and coaches at every level.

In this workshop, Jules draws on her professional insights and real-life examples to explore how toxic masculinity can show up in PE settings—and how we can create lasting change through practical, proactive strategies.
