Description

A game sense approach to teaching precision, play, and purpose!

Ready, aim, fun! This energetic and hands-on session invites teachers to explore the world of target games through a fresh, playful lens.

Combining rich practical experiences with game sense theory, teachers will dive into a mix of classic and contemporary target games—think bocce, bowls, cornhole, and beyond! You'll explore how to teach with the game, not just about the game, using tactical questioning, modified rules, and purposeful play to build understanding and engagement.

We’ll also reimagine how traditional target games can be taught in more dynamic, inclusive, and student-centred ways that promote thinking, decision-making, and skill development.

Whether you’re looking to refresh your PE program or find new ways to engage students of all abilities, this session will hit the mark!
