Name
F.04 Top 10 Sex & Consent Questions Educators Get Asked (And How to Answer Them)
Date & Time
Friday, November 21, 2025, 12:50 PM - 1:50 PM
Description

What are students really asking about sex and consent, and what do their questions reveal about the biggest gaps in understanding?

In this session, we unpack the most common topics students bring up with teachers: from defining and communicating consent, to navigating dating, porn, alcohol, peer pressure, false accusations, and more. You’ll walk away with practical, evidence-based answers to the questions you’re most likely already being asked, including some you may not have seen coming.

These insights are drawn from the analysis of over 400 anonymous post-it notes submitted by students during Consent Labs’ school programs. Their questions were categorised into key themes, revealing the misconceptions and concerns young people have but often don’t get clear answers to.

This is a session designed to equip educators with language, clarity, and confidence to respond to the real questions students are asking.
