The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority recently published the updated Victorian Curriculum F-10 2.0. This revised curriculum outlines the knowledge and skills students should learn within the first 11 years of schooling “to become lifelong learners, confident individuals, and active and informed citizens prepared to navigate a diverse and changing world” (VCAA, n.d.). This session will present an overview of the new curriculum, focusing on the newly updated Health and Physical Education learning area. Following this, we will unpack different strategies for developing units and programs of outdoor learning and outdoor education that align with the new curriculum.
