Description
This session draws from David’s research on the assessment practices of a population of Victorian secondary school PE teachers, specifically in the focus area of games and sports and the category of territory (invasion) games. The session will provide an outline of: (1) evidence-based assessment instruments located in the peer-reviewed literature; (2) the assessment practices of a population of Victorian secondary school teachers; and (3) potential applications of the Territory (Invasion) Games Assessment Framework. This conceptual framework was purposefully designed to align with game-based teaching approaches and the Victorian Curriculum, Health and Physical Education (Year Levels 7-10).
