Luella Monson is a graduate researcher with an interest in ageing, and improving social expectations of what older people can do and be. Luella is currently doing a PhD at La Trobe University to explore how older people can be supported to live with a sense of purpose and meaning when receiving care at home.

Luella holds a BA(Hons) in anthropology and currently works part time to develop resources and research to support the practice of community collaboration to improve youth employment. Luella also has experience in managing and contributing to research projects with a strength-based approach to improving the social determinants of health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
