Claudia is a Physiotherapist and Researcher, currently working with Ranges Integrative Health. She is an Adjunct Research Fellow with Monash University’s Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living Research Centre and the Flinders University College of Nursing and Health Sciences. In her research capacity at Bolton Clarke, she led the implementation of research evidence into practice across community and residential aged care, working with older individuals, staff, and management to strengthen falls prevention and dementia care.
Claudia has an extensive track record in the implementation and evaluation of research evidence within complex aged care environments. Her professional interests include human rights advocacy, gender equity, and trauma‑informed care. She has authored over 80 peer‑reviewed papers, reports, and industry publications; contributed to securing more than $7 million in competitive grant funding as part of multidisciplinary teams; and translated research findings at over 40 national and international conferences. She also actively contributes to the scholarly community through student supervision and mentoring, journal reviewing, and media engagement.
Her commitment to global citizenship is reflected in her leadership roles, including President and Chair of the Australian Association of Gerontology Board (2022–2024), President of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics (IAGG) Council of Student Organisations (2013–2017), IAGG‑CSO Asia–Oceania Representative (2017–2022), and current member of the 2030 IAGG World Congress Planning Committee.
