Biography
Kai Wai Hui is a Professor of Accounting at The University of Hong Kong, where he has served on the faculty since 2017 and currently directs both the Master of Accounting and Master of Accounting Analytics programmes. Prior to joining HKU, he was on the faculty of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on voluntary disclosure, financial reporting, executive contracting, information intermediaries, and the effects of legal and product-market environments on firms’ reporting and contracting decisions. His work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and The Accounting Review, among others, and he is actively engaged in ongoing projects on information intermediaries, contractual control, and interfirm collaboration.
