Hongzan Josh Zhu is a PhD candidate and a teaching associate in the Department of Accounting at Monash University, Australia. He holds a B.Com. in Accounting with Dean's Honour Roll and a B.Com. (Hons) in Accounting with First-Class Honours from the University of Queensland. Before stepping into academia, Josh had industry experience in auditing, assurance, and financial accounting at Ernst & Young and a Nasdaq Stockholm–listed firm.
His research is in the areas of auditing, corporate governance, and the intersection between auditing and emerging technology. Josh actively participates in accounting and auditing research conferences. He has presented his working paper at the 2024 Australian National Centre for Audit and Assurance Research (ANCAAR) Annual Forum. Josh also serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for Accounting and Finance.
