Name
ReThink Waste Tasmania
Description
Rethink Waste Tasmania is an education-focused initiative developed through a collaborative partnership between Tasmania’s three regional waste management bodies: Cradle Coast Waste Management Group, Circular North, and TasWaste South. It is proudly supported by the Tasmanian Government through the Tasmanian Waste and Resource Recovery Board, ensuring a trusted and coordinated approach to waste education across the state.
While Rethink Waste is not a standalone entity, it represents a unified communications platform created by local councils through their regional groups. Its purpose is to inform, educate, and engage Tasmanians on the importance of waste reduction and resource recovery.
As a central hub for reliable, easy-to-understand information tailored to the Tasmanian context, Rethink Waste helps individuals and communities take small, everyday actions that lead to big impacts.
We offer free waste education resources for schools and communities across the state. Want to get involved?
