Garry is a passionate educator with a career spanning 37 years. He is a curriculum specialist and educational leader with extensive teaching and learning expertise across all levels of primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors as a teacher, lecturer and administrator. Garry is currently working with the Department of Education’s State Schools Division as Manager- Curriculum Services.

Garry currently leads a diverse health and wellbeing education portfolio that includes supporting the implementation of the Australian Curriculum: Health and Physical Education, teaching and learning resource development, alcohol and other drugs education, water safety education and curriculum activity risk assessment.

Garry represents the Queensland Department of Education on multiple state and national groups and committees – where his curriculum expertise supports state and national policies, resource and curriculum development.
