Katherine is a special education teacher who has worked at the Monash Children’s Hospital School (MCHS) since 2018, as both a teacher and education consultant. She works across the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) providing teacher training in ABI support, as well as the Healthy Koori Kids clinic (HKK). Katherine has been the Marrung Lead for MCHS, worked on a steering committee for creating an ABI online module for teachers, and completed a fellowship to better understand using visual communication tools in hospital schools. Prior to working at MCHS, she completed a Master of Special Education, worked in specialist and mainstream settings from P-12, and worked in a community school in Far North Queensland.
