Colleen is an Education Coordinator at Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania, where she works alongside her colleagues to co-ordinate programs supporting children and young people to stay connected to education during and following serious illness. Most recently she has help grow the critical Bridge the Gap program, in which children too unwell to attend school are provided access to education via online tuition. With more than 19 years' experience across government, independent and not for profit education sectors, as well as experience in both primary and secondary contexts, she is passionate about improving educational equity and student wellbeing. Holding a Masters of Education (Leadership and Management), Colleen has expertise in educational leadership, curriculum design and stakeholder engagement. She enjoys building collaborative partnerships that ensure every child, regardless of circumstance, has access to meaningful learning opportunities.
