With 19 years of teaching experience across Aotearoa New Zealand, England, Taiwan, and the United States, I have worked in a variety of teaching and leadership roles spanning primary to junior high school education. I am currently a teacher and part of the Literacy Team at Northern Health School.
I am passionate about culturally responsive practice, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and supporting a bicultural Aotearoa New Zealand. My professional interest lies in exploring how educators can create learning environments and programmes where learners feel a genuine sense of belonging, identity, and success through relationship-based and culturally sustaining approaches to teaching.
