Biography
Shannon is the Speech Language Pathologist at Yalingbu Yirramboi – the Royal Children’s Hospital School. Her experience spans a broad range of educational contexts, including mainstream primary and secondary schools, specialist schools, schools for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, and specialist behaviour settings. She is passionate about making literacy instruction accessible and engaging for every learner.
In her current role, Shannon works alongside educators to support students with diverse educational, medical and developmental needs. A particular focus of her work is supporting students working at Foundation to Year 2 phonics levels and helping staff adapt and implement evidence-based literacy practices that maintain high expectations while responding to individual learning needs.
