Tori is a teacher at Yalingbu Yirramboi – The Royal Children's Hospital School, where she primarily works with primary-aged students while also supporting the Secondary and Kindergarten teams as needed. Her flexible and collaborative approach enables her to meet the diverse educational needs of students across a range of age groups and learning settings.
Before joining Yalingbu Yirramboi, Tori taught in the Dandenong Ranges, working closely with students from low socio-economic backgrounds, including many who experienced learning difficulties, trauma, and complex educational needs. This experience strengthened her commitment to creating inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environments for all students.
As a member of both the Numeracy Improvement Team and the Literacy Improvement Team, Tori has contributed to the development of trauma-informed assessment practices designed specifically for the hospital setting. She is passionate about adapting teaching and learning opportunities to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that education remains accessible, meaningful, and responsive to the challenges they may experience as a result of their medical conditions.
