Dr Natasha Parekh is a general paediatrician at the Adolescent Medicine Unit at Monash Medical Centre and in private practice at the Victorian Children’s Clinic. With over 20 years of experience in Victoria and the U.K., she has a particular interest in supporting children and adolescents with complex medical and psychosocial needs. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Alongside her clinical work, Natasha has held senior academic roles and taught at several universities. In 2023, she undertook a Safer Care Victoria (SCV) Fellowship, motivated by a desire to understand how to create meaningful change in healthcare. Through this, she developed skills in quality improvement (QI), co-design, and change management, which led to her acceptance into the SCV Health Innovators Programme. Drawing on her QI skills and background in medical education she created the Parent and Carer Toolkit (PACT) — an innovative resource to support families caring for adolescents with anorexia nervosa during the transition from hospital to home. She is now beginning to share the toolkit more broadly at a national level, with growing interest in its outcomes and potential for wider application.
As the mother of two adolescents, Natasha brings patience, empathy, humour, and strong leadership to her practice. She works closely with families and multidisciplinary teams to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that balances clinical expertise with an understanding of lived experience.
