Matt's contribution to the sessions and workshops is informed by his experience as a teacher within both the Australian and New Zealand primary education systems. Since 2021, he has worked as a Health School teacher, supporting students with diverse educational and wellbeing needs through strengths-based, student-centred approaches.
His work has focused on literacy development through appreciative pedagogies, and he brings lived experience as a participant in research exploring strengths-based approaches to teaching and responding to student writing. Combining classroom expertise with research experience, Matt is passionate about helping educators implement practices that enhance student engagement, confidence, and achievement.
