Biography
Alanna Duffy is the Learning Specialist at Yalingbu Yirramboi – The Royal Children's Hospital School, supporting students from Kindergarten to Year 12. She began her career in education as a secondary Mathematics and Science teacher.
Driven by a passion for improving student learning experiences, Alanna later moved into education publishing, where she developed curriculum resources and instructional materials for secondary Mathematics and Science textbooks and online platforms.
In her current role, Alanna draws on her experiences across both classroom teaching and curriculum development to support teaching and learning across the school. She works closely with staff through mentoring, coaching and professional learning, and has contributed to initiatives including the refinement of Individual Education Plans, the implementation of the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0 and the development of a school-wide approach to literacy and numeracy improvement.
Alanna is particularly passionate about creating meaningful learning opportunities for students with acute and chronic health conditions. She is committed to ensuring all students can access education, remain connected to learning, and experience success throughout their educational journey.
