AFL Victoria is responsible for growing and developing Australian Rules Football across Victoria. We work closely with schools, communities, and local clubs to create opportunities for young people to get active, build confidence, and connect through sport.

School Engagement
A key part of our work is delivering school-based football programs that introduce students to AFL in a fun, inclusive, and accessible way. Our Game Development Officers visit primary and secondary schools to run structured sessions that focus on fundamental movement skills, teamwork, and game-based learning. Programs can be delivered during PE classes, school sport programs, or special activity days.

Support for Teachers
We also support teachers by providing curriculum-aligned resources, structured lesson activities, and practical guidance to help them confidently deliver AFL-based activities within their physical education programs. Our goal is to make it easy for schools to incorporate AFL while promoting physical activity, skill development, and positive participation for all students.
