Luke James is a Lecturer in Health and Physical Education at Deakin University. Luke's focus is on developing the health-related fitness knowledge of initial teacher educators within the focus areas of the health benefits of physical activity and lifelong physical activity. In addition, he is interested in understanding how these two focus areas of the HPE curriculum can be integrated to support the development of students' confidence, motivation, and competence, enabling them to value and participate in lifelong physical activity beyond the school setting.
