Biography
Benjamin Haywood is an experienced sport executive, governance specialist and educator with more than 15 years of leadership experience across community, state and national sporting organisations. Benjamin works with sporting organisations, schools, not-for-profits and government agencies to strengthen governance, participation, integrity, safeguarding and organisational performance.

Benjamin currently serves as General Manager Sport Services at Squash Australia, and has previously held senior leadership roles with the Australian Sports Commission, Water Polo Western Australia, Perth Football League and numerous community sporting organisations. He is also a Director of Women Sport Australia and President of Willetton Football Club.

Passionate about creating positive sporting experiences for young people, Benjamin has led the development and implementation of participation, education and safeguarding initiatives that have engaged thousands of children, parents, teachers and volunteers across Australia. His work focuses on using sport as a vehicle for developing confidence, resilience, leadership and lifelong wellbeing.

Through Squash Stars, Benjamin is helping reimagine how sport can be delivered within schools to support physical literacy, student engagement and whole-child development. Drawing on his experience across education, governance and community sport, he brings a practical and engaging perspective on how innovative sporting programs can help students move better, connect stronger and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
