Mental Health Through Movement

Session Description

Physical activity is a powerful tool for regulation and wellbeing. In this practical and interactive workshop, participants explore how structured movement experiences can support emotional regulation, resilience and connection in Physical Education. Through simple, adaptable strategies embedded into warm-ups, transitions and reflection, teachers will learn how to support students to recognise, manage and shift their state. Suitable across Foundation to Year 10, this session links movement learning with wellbeing in purposeful and achievable ways.

* Use movement intentionally to foster Connection, enhance participation and build a sense of belonging.
* Implement movement-based strategies that support students to recognise, regulate and shift their emotional and physical state.
