Teaching students to have a Big Bash - Using Small-Sided Games for Cricket Skill Development
Session Description
In this interactive and fast-paced session, participants will develop a greater understanding of how to develop Fundamental Movement Skills using a Game Sense Approach to cricket. Fundamental Movement Skills are critical to achieving success in a sport, however, students also require practice being decision makers within the bounds of sport contexts. This session will work with teachers to show how skill development and application in a specific context can benefit student learning.
Learning Outcomes
1. Participants will gain an understanding of how to develop Fundamental Movement Skills through a Small-sided Games Sense Approach.
2. They will understand how the approach functions and why it is important to develop Game Sense.
