TriBall Lacrosse - Revolutionising Secondary School Lacrosse
Session Description
Discover how lacrosse can provide an engaging and accessible invasion game option for Health and Physical Education. This practical session explores simple, game-based approaches to teaching the fundamental skills and rules of lacrosse, with strategies that build confidence, maximise participation and create positive learning experiences for all students. Participants will also be introduced to resources that can support implementation in their own school settings.
Learning Outcomes
The learner will be able to confidently teach the basics of lacrosse (catch, throw, scoop, carry, and shoot), understand and implement the rules of lacrosse in small-sided activities and games, and understand the history of this unique, indigenous invasion game, the current participation pathways for schools and students in Victoria, and the future participation pathways internationally (including the Olympic pathway).
