Learning Through Play: Game-Based Tennis for Primary PE
Session Description
This hands-on workshop supports teachers to deliver engaging, game-based tennis activities that develop fundamental skills, technique, and tactical understanding for beginner children. Using play as the driver, participants will explore a progression of fun, modified games designed to build coordination, rally skills, and basic stroke technique in an inclusive and enjoyable environment. The session focuses on how to teach key tennis concepts such as spacing, direction, consistency, and decision-making through simple, activity-based learning. Teachers will leave with practical tools and confidence to create active, skill-building lessons that maximise participation, enjoyment, and support lifelong engagement in movement through play.
