Ilsa MPH GAICD is passionate about evidence-based practice and quality of life as we age. She has over twenty years experience in health, community services and aged care. Previous roles include CEO of the Australian Dental Association Victoria Branch, CEO at Optometry Victoria South Australia, and CEO of Meaningful Ageing Australia where she supported and engaged in research about meaning, purpose and connectedness (spirituality) in the lives of older people. Ilsa is Chair of the AAG Victorian Executive Committee and an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with La Trobe University. Thinking about ageing in the mid-2000s led Ilsa and her husband (Mark) to collaborate with her parents regarding building an extension on Ilsa and Mark's house so they could age in place. This has provided a living lab for many ideas about ageing and intergenerational living that has profoundly influenced Ilsa's life and work.
