Kerry North’s research focuses on the integration of digital health technologies into community and primary care nursing, with a particular emphasis on remote home monitoring systems that support older adults to age in place. Her work examines how these technologies influence clinical decision-making, professional identity, roles, and models of care in community nursing.
Her doctoral research uses a mixed-methods approach to explore community nurses’ behavioural intention to adopt remote monitoring technologies in pre-implementation contexts. More broadly, her research engages with clinical governance, patient safety, and long-term condition management, with a focus on translating digital innovation into sustainable, evidence-informed practice.
