Marleen Campbell Lopez is a PhD candidate in Marketing at RMIT University, Melbourne. Her research investigates how emotional labour shapes digital participation in later life, with a particular focus on informal digital support within everyday relational contexts. Grounded in theories of relational consumption and consumer vulnerability, her work examines how digital engagement is sustained through interdependent interactions between older adults and their social networks. Marleen has teaching experience in strategic marketing and is actively engaged in community-based research with culturally and linguistically diverse populations in Australia. Her research contributes to advancing inclusive marketing and policy approaches that support equitable digital participation among ageing populations.
