Associate Professor Kate Smith is the Aboriginal health research lead at Boola Boola Djinda, at the Medical School, University of Western Australia, on Nyoongar Country. She is an occupational therapist and Co-director of the National Good Spirit Good Life Centre of Research Excellence in Indigenous Ageing Well. Kate has led Aboriginal ageing well research governed by Aboriginal Elders for over 20 years, including the co-design of valid assessments KICA and Good Spirit Good Life, and models of care for health and aged care policy and practice.
