Diane Gibson is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Canberra where she established and leads the multi-disciplinary Centre for Ageing Research and Translation as Centre Director. An internationally and nationally recognised researcher in aged care, her current research is focused on residential and community based aged care, innovative models of dementia care, ageism in health care and access to allied health services in residential aged care. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and the Australian Association of Gerontology
