Ilona Demecs has been working in the field of ageing as a registered nurse, artist and academic for several years. Her professional interest is in the field of art and health in the form of participatory art. She often chooses the topics for her tapestries within the context of Social Determinants of Health and Social Justice. Ilona is also a compassionate teacher in nursing in various universities in Australia, both at the undergraduate and master’s levels, mostly in ageing-related content.
