Katrina is an experienced registered nurse working predominantly with older adults in residential aged care. Katrina currently works as a nursing lecturer within the Faculty of Health at Southern Cross University. Katrina is interested in providing education to students in a supportive learning environment with an emphasis on the need for compassionate nursing care to older adults. It was this interest that inspired Katrina to initiate the co-design of the Aged Care Classroom with an industry partner. Katrina is a PhD Candidate at SCU, exploring Registered Nurse's leadership capabilities to improve quality care in residential aged care.
