Dr Pauline Phiri is an Early Career Researcher and Lecturer in the School of Arts and Humanities at Edith Cowan University, Western Australia. Her research focuses on migrants from sub-Saharan Africa, with particular attention to post-retirement decision-making, ageing, wellbeing, and social connectedness.

She holds both an MBA and a PhD and brings extensive experience across the financial and community services sectors. Her work explores how sub-Saharan African migrants navigate ageing, belonging, and later-life transitions in Australia. Drawing on her interdisciplinary background, she is particularly interested in the intersection of financial preparedness and social wellbeing in shaping ageing experiences among migrant populations.
