Joan Ostaszkiewicz is a Program Manager in the Clinical Gerontology Division at the National Ageing Research Institute, Honorary Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne, Adjunct Professor of Health and Innovation Transformation Centre at Federation University and a Visiting Professor at the Geller Institute for Ageing and Memory, University of West London. She has developed a program of research on caregiving associated with incontinence in older age and is the CI-A on a MRFF funded project that aims to build the capacity of the residential aged care workforce to deliver person-centred and evidence-informed care for people with urinary catheters in residential aged care homes.
