Dr Wei Zhao is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Human-Computer Interaction Group at the University of Melbourne. His current research focuses on designing innovative technologies to support the social and psychological wellbeing of older adults, such as through engagement in personally meaningful activities. His research has been published and presented at flagship conferences and journals in the field of human-computer interaction, including the ACM CHI conference on Human Factors in Computing and Proceedings of the ACM on Human-Computer Interaction. He is currently working as a postdoctoral research fellow on an ARC-funded project that focuses on co-designing innovations in digital storytelling with older adults, investigating how emerging technologies such as AI can be used to support older adults in capturing, prompting, and sharing life stories and experiences.
