Dr Yvonne Wells is a retired professor in the Australian Institute for Primary Care & Ageing at La Trobe University. Most of her research has had a focus on healthy ageing and home-based aged care with an applied focus. She is still involved in supervising PhD students and some research projects. For example, she retains a leading role in an evaluation of virtual nursing in aged care homes. She has also published in the areas of family caregiving and retirement. She was Book Review Editor for the Australasian Journal on Ageing from 2000 to 2025.
