I am currently a Lecturer in Dementia Care at the Wicking Research and Education Centre. I have a background as a laboratory‑based neuroscientist and now work in translational research, focusing on bridging neuroscience and practice. My recent work includes developing a series of educational videos that link neuroscience principles with design principles in dementia care settings. With more than ten years’ experience in education, I am particularly interested in science communication and knowledge translation, and in ensuring accurate, credible information is accessible to the public. My work is driven by a commitment to improving outcomes for people living with neurodegenerative diseases by advancing understanding of the biological basis of the nervous system.
