Rachel is a registered nurse and aged care services researcher with extensive experience as a senior clinician and team leader supporting older people living in the community. She has also undertaken research and advocacy work focused on aged care policy issues. Her PhD examined the care and support needs of people requiring government-funded home-based aged care, intended to provide new knowledge to inform workforce skill requirements to deliver care to meet these needs. Rachel is now commencing as a Research Fellow with the NHMRC funded Centre for Research Excellence on “Optimising Health Care in the Home for Older Australians”.
